There is an ongoing catastrophe…
When major catastrophic events do strike, the world’s attention gravitates to the tragedy unfolding through the media outlets. But the harsh reality is there is an ongoing catastrophe which goes widely unnoticed every day for billions of lives who have little to no access to affordable healthcare. As a result, more deaths occur than in all the catastrophes brought on by storms, droughts and earthquakes. Many medical groups actively bring care to thousands around the world each year, but much more attention needs to be given now to this ongoing catastrophe.
Answering this desperate need
The Wings CRS Medical Foundation answers this need by organizing mobile medical missions and developing free-standing urgent care and family clinics in response to responding to the desperate need of medical care in under-served communities around the world as an integral part of our Wings CRS Resilience mission
This medical mission coupled with our education mission will provide job and life skills training which will create a two-fold self-sustainable solution resulting in producing healthy, thriving communities.
Our first life-saving missions
Our first ongoing missions are focused on South Texas’ Rio Grande River Valley, where 40 under served counties are home to a vast indigent population with little to no access to healthcare. To bridge this gap, we are developing:
✅ Free-standing urgent care and family clinics to provide consistent, high-quality care.
✅ Mobile medical clinics to reach isolated communities that lack transportation and local healthcare facilities.
In addition to the border mission, our medical teams will return to Mabalacat, Philippines to establish a community clinic where we conducted a 10 month emergency feeding mission in 2020, and support our Guerrero, Mexico Recovery & Resilience Mission by providing medical clinics for the poor communities in the mountains above Acapulco.
By bringing medical services directly to these communities, we are working to ensure that no family is left without access to essential wellness care.
