In a heartening development, 16 more families have benefited from ongoing water deliveries, as reported in yesterday’s mission update. This vital initiative, coupled with the Mexican government’s remarkable decision to grant land ownership to squatters, is sparking transformative change in Acapulco’s impoverished communities.

With secure land tenure and continued access to clean water, families once surviving in makeshift shelters are now taking bold steps toward building sustainable, permanent homes. This shift marks a significant milestone in their journey toward long-term recovery and community rebuilding.

Over the past eight weeks, this mission has delivered clean water to 369 families in dire need, a testament to the power of collaboration and resilience. These efforts are not only addressing immediate survival needs but also paving the way for a brighter, more hopeful future for Acapulco’s vulnerable residents.

December 28, 2024

With the 95th donation, the Hurricane John Emergency Feeding Mission is dispatching another water truck this weekend to deliver clean water to 16 more families in dire need bringing the total to 400 families who received bulk clean water.
